Metro Rail
Metro Rail is a high-speed rail system that carries passengers within a city. Metro Rail was introduced to enable the busy people of the city to move from one place to another quickly avoiding traffic jams. Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is one of the largest and most densely populated cities in the world. That is why the Bangladesh government has started the work of launching metro rail in Dhaka city.
This is Dhaka Metro Rail, whose official name is Mass Rapid Transit (MRT). Once completed, it will be capable of transporting 60,000 passengers per hour and 5 lakh a day. At present, a part of it has been completed and trains have been started for transporting passengers from Uttara to Agargaon section. Dhaka Metro Rail will ease the lives of people living in the capital and will play an important role in the economy of Bangladesh.

মেট্রো রেল একটি
উচ্চ গতির রেল ব্যবস্থা যা একটি শহরের মধ্যে যাত্রী বহন করে। যানজট এড়িয়ে শহরের
ব্যস্ত মানুষকে দ্রুত এক স্থান থেকে অন্য স্থানে যেতে সক্ষম করার জন্য মেট্রো রেল
চালু করা হয়েছিল। বাংলাদেশের রাজধানী ঢাকা বিশ্বের বৃহত্তম এবং সবচেয়ে
ঘনবসতিপূর্ণ শহরগুলির মধ্যে একটি। সেজন্য বাংলাদেশ সরকার ঢাকা শহরে মেট্রোরেল
চালুর কাজ শুরু করেছে। এটি ঢাকা মেট্রো রেল, যার দাপ্তরিক নাম ম্যাস র্যাপিড ট্রানজিট
(এমআরটি)। এটি সম্পন্ন হলে এটি প্রতি ঘণ্টায় ৬০ হাজার এবং দিনে ৫ লাখ যাত্রী
পরিবহনে সক্ষম হবে। বর্তমানে এর একটি অংশ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে এবং উত্তরা থেকে আগারগাঁও
সেকশনে যাত্রী পরিবহনের জন্য ট্রেন চলাচল শুরু হয়েছে। ঢাকা মেট্রো রেল রাজধানীতে বসবাসকারী মানুষের জীবনকে সহজ করবে
এবং বাংলাদেশের অর্থনীতিতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে।
